Selection of Microwave Digestion Conditions for Determination of Arsenic Content in Tipping Paper

  • In order to accurately determine As in tipping paper samples by HG-AFS with microwave digestion,the effects of digestion system,digestion procedure,acid removal and type of microwave instrument on As determination were investigated.The results showed that:1) tipping paper samples were completely digested in HNO3:HF:HCl:H2O2=6:0.2:1:1(v/v) system in a microwave field;2) the recoveries of As was from 98% to 110% with RSD of 6% to 10% and detection limit of 1.38 ng/L;3) the performance of microwave instrument Berghof was virtually the same as that of CEM.
