Application of Toothed Suction Belt in Foil Suction Device in GDX2 Packer

The foil in GDX2 packer transferred with a flat belt is liable to deviate from its proper position even jam the machine.The foil conveying device was improved by replacing flat belt assembly with toothed suction belt assembly.The application results showed that the incidence of foil jam reduced from 12 times/shift to 5 times/shift and foil consumption decreased from 2.76 kg to 2.75 kg per 50000 cigs.The working life of the toothed suction belt was more than 10 times as long as that of the flat belt.
