Design and Application of Automatic Ink-jet Printed Code Inspection and Control System for Cigarette Packet

  • Cigarette packers are not able to reject the defective cigarette packets related to ink-jet printed digital code,such as code or character missing,smeared print,or positional deviation,therefore,an automatic ink-jet printed code inspection and control system was designed.The system adopts smart cameras to acquire the digital code on film,processes the acquired data and makes judgment,then sends the resulting signal to a PLC control system to reject the defective cigarette packets.The ZB43 hard packer equipped with the automatic system is able to find and reject the cigarette packets with print defects timely.The repacking incidence of defective packet caused by code print for a packer reduces from 12 packets per month to 0,the rejecting rate of defective packets reaches 99% and more.
