Characteristics and Kinetic Model of Nicotine Degradation by Psedomonas sp. Strain CS3

  • The characteristics and kinetic model of nicotine degradation by Psedomonas sp.strain CS3 were studied with liquid culture method.The results showed that the optimal condition of nicotine degradation by strain CS3 was inoculum amount 5%,temperature 30℃ and pH 7.0.Under the optimal condition,the rate of nicotine degradation reached 98.6% within 24 hours when the initial concentration of nicotine was 1000 mg/L in medium,and the kinetic model of cell growth and nicotine degradation was also obtained at the optimal condition.
