Analysis of Method for Glue Volume Control in Filter Rod Maker

A method for controlling the glue volume applied to filter plug wrap and improve filter rod quality in filter rod making was described.For the purpose of precise control of glue volume,the control parameter ε related to the inherent characteristic of glue pump was calculated based on the mass volumes Qm(g/min) of glue pump determined at different rotating speeds.The volume compensation during startup period in practical operation was discussed.The application results indicated that this method was capable of forming uninterrupted glue line with uniform thickness and width,and regulating glue volume rapidly in startup period,and the quality of finished filter rod was guaranteed.
