Modification of Suction Band Transmission Device in PASSIM Cigarette Maker

The suction band is liable to slip over the driving wheel in the long suction chamber in PASSIM cigarette maker, which results in uneven cut tobacco distribution and cigarette defects such as loose-end and abnormal cigarette weight deviation. According to the transmission principle of toothed belt, the driving wheel and driving of suction band was improved. The improvement effectively eliminated the slipping of suction band, the rate of loose-end cigarettes decreased from 0.8% to 0.3%, and the standard deviation range of cigarette weight reduced from 22.4-31 mg to 18-22.2 mg, and the consumption of tobacco and materials was also down.
