Effects of Film-laminated Blank on Running of FOCKE701 Packer

  • The high resilience of film-laminated blank causes troubles in FOCKE701 packer running, such as ill blank pickup, blank path jam, machine block and high wastage rate. Therefore, the main technical parameters of the blank and the way of cutting were experimented. The results showed that the friction coefficient of the blank and stiffness of fold line were the main parameters affecting FOCKE701 packer running, the desired ranges of friction coefficient were:static friction coefficient(longitudinal) 0.25± 0.02, kinetic friction coefficient(longitudinal) 0.20± 0.02, and the desired stiffness of fold line ranged from 30 g to 40 g. Within these ranges, FOCKE701 packer could run normally at a speed of 1000 packets per minute. After improving the way of blank cutting, the cut widths of blank increased from 0.1 mm to 5.1 mm and 3 mm, respectively, which reduced the squeeze between blanks, and the frequency of blank jam decreased from over 80 to less than 5 times a day.
