Rapid Determination of Organophosphorous Pesticide Residues in Tobacco by GC/MS

A method for fast determining the organophosphorous pesticide residues in tobacco was developed.Tobacco samples were extracted with acetonitrile,cleaned up with primary secondary amine adsorbent and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.The results showed that the recoveries of twenty organophosphorous pesticides ranged from 70% to 118% with relative standard deviation of 0.5% to 11.9%.This method is suitable for the rapid analysis of multiple organophosphorous pesticides residues in batches of tobacco samples.
