Determination of Total Sulfur in Cellulose Diacetate Flake by ICP-AES

    Abstract
  • In order to monitor the quality of cellulose diacetate flake(CDF),a method for analyzing the total sulfur(TS) in CDF by ICP-AES with steam autoclave heating was established.Eight CDF samples were tested.The results showed that:1) The recoveries of sulfur were in the range of 97.2% to 100.8% with the RSD of 2.22% and the limit of detection of 0.051 mg/kg.2) The TS content in CDF samples was in the range of 3.2 to 110.2 mg/kg.
