Structure Verification and Thermal Decomposition Kinetics of β-Ionone and β-Cyclodextrin Inclusion Compound

  • An inclusion compound of β-ionone and β-cyclodextrin was prepared from their saturated solution,analyzed by thermogravimetric analyzer,differential thermal analyzer and IR spectrometer,and applied to cigarette as a flavor.The results showed that:1) The obtained compound was verified;2) The thermal stability of the inclusion compound was higher than β-ionone,the bonding of β-ionone and β-cyclodextrin was mainly the results of Van der Waals force;3) The inclusion compound enhanced the aroma quality and quantity,improved aftertaste and reduced irritation of cigarette smoke.
