Optimization of Supercritical CO2 Extraction Conditions for Honghuadajinyuan Tobacco Essence and Analysis of its Volatile Components

Abstract
In order to optimize the supercritical CO2 extraction conditions for Hongda tobacco essence,the extraction yield was investigated by L9(34) orthogonal experiment,and the volatile components in the obtained extracts were analyzed by GC/MS,and the essence was applied into cigarette as a flavor.The results of the experiments indicated that the optimal extraction pressure,temperature,CO2 flow rate and time were 30 MPa,45℃,25 kg/h and 2.0 hours,respectively.Thirty-six components were identified,and the main volatile components were:12isopropyl-1,5,9-trimethyl-4,8,13-cyclotetradecatriene-1,3-diol(21.28%),nicotine(15.88%),octadecyne(6.70%),2,5-epoxydihydroretroionone(4.49%),ledol(3.59%),1-methyl-4-(2-methyloxiranyl)-7-oxabicyclo4.1.0heptane(2.42%),ascaridole(2.32%),benzenamine(2.20%),4H-cyclopentadefphenanthrene(2.00%).The sensory evaluation showed that the essence obviously enhanced tobacco's natural aroma,and imparted a unique stylish character to tobacco.The optimized parameters increase the yield of essence,and the extraction process is feasible and stable.
