GIS-based Regionalization of Tobacco Fields for Soil Nutrient Management
-
Abstract
81 top-layer(0-20 cm) soil samples from a field(about 87 hm2) of Cinnamon soil in a tobacco- planted village were taken to analyze the spatial variation of soil pH, organic matter (OM), total nitrogen (TN),alkalized nitrogen (AN),available phosphorus (AP),available potassium (AK) and CEC with the support of GIS. The results showed that soil pH and TN had strong spatial correlation with the ratios of C0/(C+ C0)<25%-OM,AP,AK and CEC had moderate spatial correlation with C0/(C+C0)ratios of 30% to 50%-while AN showed no spatial correlation in the sampling scale. Based on that, two principal components were extracted, the village was divided into 3 management regions by fuzzy cluster analysis for more accurate management of soil nutrient.
