Pro/E and Adams Based Movement Analysis and Simulation of Ledger Mechanism

Abstract
By establishing a simulation model of super speed tobacco rod cutting system,the method and procedures for virtual prototype simulation with three-dimensional modeling software Pro/E and kinetics simulation software Adams were described. Via kinetics and kinematics simulation of the model, the relationship between ledger stroke and cut length of tobacco rod,as well as the kinetic characters of the ledger mechanism were analyzed. The simulated results well agreed with the theoretical and actual values with the relative error of<1%. Virtual prototype technology can improve design efficiency,reduce the design risk and costs of product development,shorten development cycle.
