Effects of Nano-carbon Application Rates on Growth, Development and Potassium Accumulation of Flue-cured Tobacco

  • In order to investigate the effects of nano-carbon application on the growth, dry matter accumulation and potassium absorption of flue-cured tobacco, a pot culture experiment was carried out. The results showed that the addition of nano-carbon in conventional fertilizers promoted the growth and development of tobacco plant. When the percentages of nano-carbon in fertilizers were 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.5%, the dry matter accumulation of individual tobacco plant increased by 4.08%, 14.06% and 1.12%, respectively comparing with the control; nano-carbon application promoted the potassium absorption and potassium absorption efficiency of tobacco plant, potassium accumulation raised by 3.16%, 21.34% and 20.55%, respectively. Higher accumulation starting potential and accumulation speed were the important reason for higher potassium accumulation, which led to higher dry matter accumulation in tobacco plant. Nano-carbon application increased potassium content in tobacco leaves by 21.05%, 25.26% and 36.84% for the treatments of 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.5%, respectively; meantime, the potassium distribution proportion in tobacco leaves and harvest index also increased obviously. Particulary for the fertilizer containing 0.3% nano-carbon.
