Determination of K+, Ca2+, and Mg2+ in Tobacco with Dry Ashing-Ion Chromatography

Abstract
A method for simultaneously determining the contents of potassium, calcium and magnesium in tobacco with dry ashing-ion chromatography was developed. The results showed that: the relative standard deviations of potassium, calcium and magnesium were lower than 5%; the recoveries ranged from 98.0% to 105.0%, 98.6% to 102.3%, and 97.0% to 104.9%; and the detection limits were 0.06, 0.03, 0.05 μg/mL, respectively.
