Effective Utilization and Distribution Uniformity of Expanded Stem Granular in Cigarette

By suspension in ethanol, the effective utilization and distribution uniformity of expanded stem granular (ESG)in cigarette were determined at the proportions of 5%, 10%, 15% and 20%. The results showed that: within the tested range, 1) for proportion lower than 20%, the variation coefficient of ESG content in cigarette was <5%, which indicated that ESG was evenly distributed in cigarette; 2) with the increase of ESG proportion, the standard deviation of ESG content in cigarette increased, and its effective utilization declined.
