Improvement of Key Scheduling Algorithm for EMS Vehicle in Flexible Cut Tobacco Conveying System

  • In order to transport cut tobacco in a more dynamic and flexible way and avoid the problems of low efficiency in picking up tobacco case by EMS vehicle and absence of priority order, the key scheduling algorithm for EMS vehicle was modified through analyzing the overall configuration of the flexible conveying system and the communication interface of EMS vehicle. By setting the priority rank for each of the stations to implement a dynamic tabularization algorithm based on priority, the problem of short supply of tobacco to the station responsible for feeding tobacco to more cigarette makers was effectively solved. The tobacco feeder used to feed no more than 5 cigarette makers at one time because of tobacco deficiency, after improvement it would have enough tobacco to simultaneously supply up to 7 makers by EMS vehicles. The efficiency of EMS vehicle was improved.
