Determination of Chlorine in Tobacco Soil with Continuous Flow Analysis

  • Aiming at the wide pH range and low chlorine content in Sichuan tobacco soil,a continuous flow analysis method for determining chlorine in tobacco soil was developed. The chlorine in tobacco soil was extracted with water and separated by centrifugal filter. The results showed that the limit of detection of this method was 0.84 mg/kg (t=1.93 < t0.05,7)with the relative standard deviation of 2.5% and the recoveries were from 99.50% to 108.75%. This is a quick and accurate method for determining the chlorine in tobacco soil with wide pH range and low chlorine content.
