Application of Air Amplifier in SH313 Cylinder Dryer to Minimize Over-dried Cut Tobacco During Finish of Drying Operation

  • To minimize the amount of over-dried cut tobacco during the finish of a drying operation, an automatic purging device was developed based on air amplifier. By installing an automatic purging device at the feed-in end of SH313 cylinder dryer and adding a relevant control function block FB in its PLC program to implement tobacco purging automatically at the end of a drying batch. The results of application showed that: average amount of over-dried cut tobacco during the finish of a drying batch reduced from 20.32 to 0.74 kg/batch, that meant about 8800 kg of cut tobacco could be saved every year.
