Effects of Cigarette Paper Permeability on Temperature Distribution Characteristics in Cigarette During Smoking
-
Abstract
In order to study the influence of cigarette paper property on cigarette burning state, the effects of cigarette paper permeability (from 40 to 80 CU) on temperature distribution characteristics of cigarette burning (static burning before puffing, puffing and after puffing) were investigated with a revised Rosin-Rammler (R-R) distribution model. The results showed that:in the process of puffing, the highest temperature in burning cone decreased and then raised with the increase of cigarette paper permeability, the lowest value appeared at the permeability of 70 CU; the volume of burning cone increased and then reduced in all of the three burning stages (static burning before puffing, puffing and after puffing), the biggest volume appeared at the permeability of 70 CU. The volume of burning cone reached its maximum value at the end of smoking, the characteristic temperature and distribution parameter of burning cone raised and then lowered with the turning point at the paper permeability of 60 and 70 CU.
