Determination of Sodium Bisulfoxylate Formaldehyde in Tobacco Additives with Ion Chromatography
-
Abstract
An ion chromatography method for determining the sodium bisulfoxylate formaldehyde in tobacco additives was developed. The sample was extracted with dilute aqueous alkali and separated by ion chromatography, then determined by ampere detector after elution with aqueous potassium hydroxide. The results showed that the linearity range and recovery of this method were 0.1-20.0 mg/L and 92.55%-98.76%, respectively. The lowest limit of quantitative detection was 0.05 mg/L with the relative standard deviation less than 5%. This method is of simple pretreatment, better sample stability, higher accuracy and better practical uses.
