Configuration of Cloud Computing Platform of Hunan Tobacco

  • For better utilization of basic information resources and resource platform reliability, the cloud computing platform of Hunan tobacco was configured with virtualization technology according to the mode of cloud computing. Application and data processing were separately served by PC servers and minicomputers. Minicomputers, PC servers, storages and desktops were virtualized to build application cloud, data cloud, storage cloud and desktop cloud. Secondary development was conducted by means of calling scripts or commands via Application Programming Interface (API) to form a unified cloud management platform. The results of application showed that the centralized basic resource service platform effectively integrated information resources and improved the utilization of resources. Comparing with traditional hardware platform, the equipment utilization increased by more than 50%, and ensured the application system running normally in the case that over half of the apparatuses were out of work. Energy consumption was reduced, the users'data was secured, system reliability, security management and operation maintenance were raised to a higher level.
