Application of Chromatic Aberration Method in Quality Consistency Evaluation of Finished Strips After Threshing and Redrying

  • In order to evaluate the quality consistency of strips after threshing and redrying with chromatic aberration method, redried Yunyan 87 BBSF strips were sampled at the output end of redryer, and the L*, a*, b* values of samples were determined by automatic colorimeter. The obtained data were analyzed with normality test, their Mean-Range charts were plotted, and the process capability index (Cp) was calculated. The results showed that L*, a*, b* of redried Yunyan 87 BBSF strips were in the range of 1.33 ≥ Cp>1.00, which indicated that the redried strips featured good quality consistency. Meanwhile, the blending uniformity of Yunyan 87 BBSF reached 85.72%, which proved that it was feasible to evaluate the quality consistency of redried strips with chromatic aberration method.
