Improvement of Tobacco Flow Control System
-
Abstract
Aiming at the large fluctuation and frequent interruption of tobacco flow in primary processing line, the spiker plate in elevator, metering tube and control program were improved with speed regulation linkage technology. The length of spikers on the spiker plates was shortened from 15 to 10 cm and the vertical distance between the spikers and picker roller was adjusted to 8 mm to avoid interrupted tobacco conveying caused by long spikers and maintain a steady flow. An auxiliary detection chamber was added inside the metering tube to counteract air current in metering tube and prevent misoperation of photoelectric cell. Speed regulation linkage technology was adopted to match the speed of the elevator with that of the belt weigher and adjust tobacco flow. The results of application showed that, the average fluctuation of tobacco flow reduced from 0.9% to 0.5%, the frequency of tobacco interruption decreased from 15 times per shift to lower than 10 times per month.
