Study on Strands Blending of Paper-making Process Reconstituted Tobacco

Two methods for blending paper-making process reconstituted tobacco(RT),blending after cutting(blending cut RT into cut tobacco) and blending before cutting(blending uncut RT into tobacco strips) were investigated in terms of the accuracy and uniformity of RT in cigarette,and the procedure of after cutting blending and the size of cut RT were optimized.The results showed that under the existing blending procedure, the accuracy of cut RT content in cigarette was significantly improved by the method of after cutting blending, while the uniformity of cut RT in cigarette was not obviously changed.By adding a winnower and a loosening device and cut RT breaking,both the uniformity and accuracy of cut RT in cigarette were significantly improved,the variation coefficient of cut RT in tested cigarette reduced by 8.11% averagely,and cut RT blending accuracy increased by 9.24%.
