Performance of Raw Material Beating in Paper-making Process Reconstituted Tobacco Production
-
Abstract
By adopting PFI (Pulp Refiner) for beating tobacco dust and stem, the influences of beating parameters (beating clearance and beating duration) and pulp concentration on the beating power and pulp quality (Schopper-Riegler degree and wet weight) were investigated with orthogonal experiments. The results showed that: 1)Beating power was obviously affected by pulp concentration, as did pulp quality by beating parameters. 2)With the increase of beating clearance, the Schopper-Riegler degree of tobacco dust and stem pulp decreased to different extents, while the wet weight increased. The variation of beating time did not affect the power consumption for tobacco dust beating obviously, however, the power consumption for tobacco stem beating was slightly higher at initial stage. 3)With the increase of pulp consistency, the Schopper-Riegler degree of tobacco dust pulp declined, while that of tobacco stem pulp and the wet weight of tobacco dust and stem pulp did not changed obviously.
