Application of Hot Melt Adhesive System to YP13 Case Filling and Sealing Machine

The cigarette case sealed with gummed tape in YP13 case filling and sealing machine is not compact enough to meet the requirements of robot palletizing system. Therefore, the machine was improved as following: 1) Adding a hot melt adhesive system, which included ProBlue hot melt adhesive machine and adhesive conveying pipe and glue gun. 2) Integrating man-machine interface and the control system for hot melt adhesive system. 3) Applying two glue lines (40 mm in length) to each small flap. The gluing phases were 86°-91° and 133°-138° at a temperature of 165℃. The results of application showed that the big and small flaps were stuck together firmly, the problems of oversize case, torn case and cigarette carton falling off were effectively avoided.
