Inhibition of Strip Darkening during Aging via Deoxygenation by Sealing

In order to inhibit the strips from over-darkening during aging, the aging of two different strips, C4F-2002T grown in Malong of Yunnan Province and B2F -2002 grown in Lianqing of Fujian Province, was experimented under a condition of deoxygenation by sealing.The results showed that:1)the enzymatic browning reactions in the strips during aging were inhibited under said condition to a certain extent;2)the reduction of chlorogenic acid, neochlorogenic acid, rutin and polyphenols in tested strips during aging was less and strip color was lighter, the appearance quality and smoking quality were obviously higher in contrast with the control.
