Yield and Quality Changes of Tobacco Varieties in Different Ecological Zones

The yield and quality changes of tobacco varieties grown in different ecological zones were studied.The results showed that:1)quality changes were more obvious than the yield's for different tobacco varieties in different ecological zones, it meant that the effect of ecological factors was mainly on tobacco quality;2)quality difference was bigger than the yield's between the tested varieties in the same ecological zones, it meant that quality was main difference between varieties;3)the quality and yield differences between varieties in the same ecological zone were smaller than that of the same variety in different ecological areas, it meant that the yield and quality changes caused by different ecological zones were bigger than those caused by different varieties;4)different varieties adapted to different growing zones, some varieties might be adaptable to wider ecological range and others might be not.The adaptability of Yunyan85 and K326 was the best, that of K358 and K346 was better, that of Yunyan317 and RG11 was moderate, and the others was the worse.
