Leaf Cutting before Threshing and Redrying
-
Abstract
Longer leaves (>400 mm) tend to tangle one another and/or twisted round machine elements, which result in jamming or interrupted tobacco flow and frequent machine stop during processing in threshing and redrying line.Experiments on leaf cutting before threshing were carried out.The results showed that the problems mentioned above were solved perfectly, while the major quality indexes of threshing and redrying were almost uninfluenced. Different processing requirements as two-cut for tipping or one-cut for leaf cutting were achieved also.
