Relationship of Threshing Quality with Temperature and Moisture Content of Tobacco Leaf

Abstract
For finding out the influence of processing conditions on threshing quality, tests on tobacco with different temperatures and moisture contents were conducted.The results showed that threshing quality was improved by properly increasing the temperature and moisture content of tobacco leaf within a certain range before threshing. Generally, the appropriate moisture content and temperature for green leaf and redried leaf were 18%-20% and 65℃-75℃, 19%-21% and 65℃-75℃, respectively.
