Advance in Relationship between Active Oxygen, its Scavenging Enzymes and Tobacco Resistance

  • The recent advance of the generation of active oxygen in tobacco after virus invasion, and activity changes related to scavenging enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), catalase (CAT) and ascorbate peroxide (APX), and the correlations between these changes and tobacco resistance were reviewed physiologically and biochemically. The existing problems and research prospects in this area were also discussed.
