Influence of Extracting Pressure on Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Seed of Trigonella foenum-graecum L.

In order to develop a new tobacco flavor, experiments on supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of seed of Trigonella foenum-graecum L. were conducted. The resultant extract was analyzed with GC/MS and the cigarettes added with the extract were evaluated. The results indicated that the best extract was obtained while the extracting pressure was 25MPa and the temperature was 50℃. The smoking quality of cigarettes added with the SFE product was better than that with normal tincture of Trigonella foenum-graecum L. 52 compounds in the SPE product were i-dentified.
