Abstract
Liriomyza huidobrensis (Blanchard) is a new pest damaging tobacco in southwest of China, it mainly fed on seedlings and foot-leaves in early field stage. It completed 5-6 generations during the growth of flue-cured tobacco in Zhaotong of Yunnan province, one generation spanned 18-34days.The pest is polyphagous, has obvious selectivity for hosts and good adaptability to tobacco.Control during seedling stage is of vital importance.3 days or 9 days after spraying, the control effects of 2.5% kungfu EC at a dilution of 2000 are 53% and 77%, respectively, and those of 50% Neprex at a dilution of 1000 are 59% and 81%, respectively.
