Effect of Some Soil Fumigants on Controlling Weeds in Tobacco Seedbed

Seven kinds of soil fumigant, 35% XianKe, 98% Basamid, 32.7% Metham-sodium, 32.7% Simeidi, 33.6% Shimeidi, 98% Dazomet and 98% methyl bromide, were tested to control weeds in tobacco seedbed.The results indicated that the average control effects of all tested fumigants were over 95% and 90% in 20 days and 40 days after seeding, comparable to the effect of check fumigant, methyl bromide.These fumigants could be used as substitutes for methyl bromide to control weeds in tobacco seedbed.
