Control Experiments of Alphamethrin to Cutworms in Tobacco Fields

  • To control cutworms more effectively, the field experiments on applying 10% alphamethrin EC (20 mL/667m2, mixed with transplanting water) and 90% trichlorphon granualar (80g/667m2, used as bait) to the soil around the root of tobacco seedlings were conducted.10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 days after applying pesticides, the infection of tobacco seedlings was investigated. The results indicated that alphamethrin showed relatively good control effect and had no obviously adverse effect on the growth of tobacco.
