Relationship between Quality of Dried Cut Tobacco and Cooling Temperature
-
Abstract
The effects of cooling temperature after drying on the structure and filling value of cut tobacco and cigarette weight were tested. The results showed that the rate of particles over 3mm decreased, and that of below 1.3mm and the filling value of cut tobacco increased with the decrease of cooling temperature in certain range of temperature while the cigarette weight was parabolicly related to the cooling temperature. It was also found that lower temperature, about 37℃, was preferable for cooling higher grade cut tobacco blends and higher temperature, about 43℃, was suitable for cooling lower grade ones.
