Preparation of Menthol Microcapsules with Phase Separation-coacervation Method

The menthol was easy to escape from mentholated cigarettes during production, transportation, storage and sale due to its strong volatility. In order to solve these problems, the microcapsules of menthol were prepared by phase separation-coacervation method. The results showed that the encapsulated ratio of menthol was 58.7%.The ability of menthol fixing was enhanced and the quality of mentholated cigarettes was improved by imcrocapsules.
