Influences of the Harvesting Time of Lower Leaves on the Physiological and Biochemical Changes and Quality of Upper Leaves

Abstract
In order to improve the quality of upper leaves, the influences of harvesting time of lower leaves on the physiological and biochemical changes and quality of upper leaves were studied. The results showed that the harvesting time of lower leaves affected the activity of INV, PPO and ascorbic acid oxidase of flue cured upper leaves, and the smoking and appearance quality of upper leaves were the best when lower leaves were harvested at the time of 10 days after topping.
