Linear Regression Correlation Analysis between Tar Delivery and Routine Chemical Components of Cigarettes

The regression correlation analysis between test data of tar and total sugar, total nitrogen and total chlorine of certain brand cigarette was conducted. A linear regression formula was obtained. The tar delivery of cigarette was predicted with the formula and compared with the found. The results showed that the relative deviations of the predicted tar values from the test data were generally below 5%.
