Experiments on Pest Control in Tobacco Storage by Fumigating Carbon Dioxide and Phosphine Mixture
-
Abstract
In order to reduce applied rates of aluminium phosphide, pest control experiments using the mixture of bottled liquefy carbon dioxide and 56% aluminium phosphide troche as fumigant were conducted with computer-controlled outdoor mixing and fumigating device. The result showed that the control effect was 100% by fumigating the mixture of 2.3g/m 3 aluminium phosphide and 12g/m 3 carbon dioxide. By using less aluminium phosphide, this method was safer and could reduce environment pollution.
