Effects of Sulfur on the Yield and Quality of Flue-cured Tobacco

Abstract
Field experiments on the effects of sulfur on the yield and quality of flue-cured tobacco were conducted in Baofeng, Henan, in 2000 and 2001. The results showed that when the rate of sulfur applied in allurial soils with 10.1mg/kg available sulfur was 60~80 kg/667m2, the nutrition status and growth of tobacco plant were significantly improved, the yield and output value were increased, appearance quality, and smoking quality of tobacco le aves were also improved.
