Application of Ordering Method in Sensory Evaluation of the Cigarettes

On the basis of setting up the index systems, the information about sensory evaluation of cigarettes was processed by the ordering method. The results showed that the method could eliminate significantly subjective effect of panelists on the sensory evaluation of cigarettes, and describe the smoking quality of cigarettes more objectively. It was suggested that the ordering method be used in tobacco industry to treat sensory data both in quantitative and qualitative way.
