Analysis of the Tar and Some Critical Carcinogens Yields in Cigarette Smoke

Yields of tar and some carcinogens such as benzoa pyrene(BaP)and nitrosamine (NA)of cigarette smoke in different brands were determined.The results indicated that the content of tar of cigarette smoke in each commercial brand was not obviously related to the contents of the carcinogens, that the contents of BaP in some brandswere decreased as the tar was lowered, and that the carcinogens in cigarette smoke were retained effectively by cigarette filter.
