Study on the Respiration Rate and Dehydration Rate during the curing of Flue-cured Tobacco

  • The respiration is active during yellowing stage. At the beginning of the flue-cured curing(0~12hrs), the respiration rate declined obviously, then it increased to the first peak at the 30th hour.Respiration rate reached the second peak at the 42nd hour, that was lower than the first one. There are three stages in dehydration. Dehydration rate was at lower level during the beginning 18 hours, then it increased gradually to the first peak at the 42nd hour, and reached the second peak at the 60th hour which was higher than the first.
