Effects of Screening Ratio on the Tobacco Damage in Primary Processing

  • Raising screening degree can reduce the formation of tobacco powder in the primary processing. By adding vibrating screens before and after shresher and increasing screening times, the screening ratio could be raised to more than 85%, tobacco powder content was reduced from 11% to 7%, the consum ption of cut tobacco was reduced from 42.5kg/50 000 pieces to 40.4kg/50 000 pieces.The cigarette quality was also im proved obviously.
