The New Filter Rod Additive for Reducing Tar Yields

A kind of organic additive of reducing tar yields with high boil point were studied.The additive was nontoxic.As it could be resolved com pletely in glycerol triacetate, the equipment and the process needn't be changed.The additive doesn't influence the physical parameters of filter rod and the quality of cigarette.The cost of filter tip can be economized.The results showed that the cigarette tar yields can be removed up to 1.54mg/cig and the average reduce percentage is 9.0%.
