Study on Phenols of Henan Flue-cured Tobacco

The phenol matter contents of flue-cured tobacco of Henan were determined.The results showed:the phenol matter contents were 2.0%~3.0%.In different stalk position, upper leaves were higher than middle leaves and lower leaves were lowest.The content of the darker leaves are lower than lighter leaves with in the same stalk position.The contents of the phenol matter were related to maturety and leaves thickness.
