Comparison of Some Domestic and Zimbabwe, Malawi, American Burley

The characteristics of some domestic burley and some Zimbabwe, Malawi, American burley were studied.Results showed that the domestic burley:(1)leaf texture was not open enough.(2)the combustibility was poor because of low organic potassium index and lowash.(3)the moisture absorption rate and the equilibrium moisture content was low.(4)total nitrogen/nicotine ratio was not suitable because of high nicotine and pH were all low. (5)the smoking quality with poor aroma harshness.
