Recent Advances in Tobacco Expansion Technology and Equipment at home and Aborad

Recent advances in tobacco expansion technology and equipment, including expansion by heating with microwave and/or high frequency, HXD whole blend tobacco expansion, IM PEX cut tobacco expansion with a new expanding agent(iso-pentane), and etc., is briefly at home and abroad reviewed.The filling value of tobacco or whole blend tobacco is increased 20% to 25% after expansion by HXD technology, while the filling value of tobacco expanded by the conventional method was only increased 12%.IMPEX technology can make the filling value of cut tobacco increase more than 90% and replaced completely CFC expansion technology currently used.
